How it works for an order

The customer never needs an account, and you never email an attachment.

  1. Request when an order needs a check

    Create a request in the dashboard, or with one API call, and choose which documents you need.

  2. The customer uploads from their phone

    They get a branded email or text with a private link and, if you require it, a one-time passcode.

  3. Your team reviews, then releases the order

    Named users open the files and every open is recorded. The documents are deleted when your retention period ends.

Deleted automatically

Choose a retention period from 5 minutes to 72 hours, counted from upload. FileCourier then deletes each file automatically.

Named users only

Only signed-in members of your workspace can open documents, with optional multi-factor sign-in.

A record of every open

Each open is recorded with the time and IP address, and Workspace Admins can search an audit log.

Your logo where they upload

The upload page, the passcode screen and the Upload Complete page all carry your logo.

Frequently asked questions

Does my customer need an account?

No. They open the secure link from your email or text message and upload from any phone or computer. They create no account, choose no password and install no app. If your project requires a passcode, they first enter a one-time code sent to the same email address or phone number.

What happens to the documents after we review them?

FileCourier deletes them automatically when the retention period ends, at most 72 hours after upload, whether or not anyone downloaded them. The record of who opened them is kept.
